Beginning a new chapter in life, as I take a 6-month hiatus from AT&T so I can do what has been necessary for a while: find homes for all of Dick's artwork, beautiful hardcover books, and other objects that I need to let go of; attack or find/pay someone to attach some long-standing maintenance issues in the house and yard; complete the renovation of the house and get it ready for a holiday historical homes tour I've committed to; redevelop some healthier exercise habits and get back to running. My desired endstate? A home where all items in it are there because I've made the decision to keep them, a home that is ready for sale down the road when I get to that point, a body that is 20 lbs lighter and once again capable of doing a half-marathon, and the peace of mind of knowing that my brother (my executor) would not have a complete mess on his hand were something, God forbid, to happen to me.
