What a Glorious Feeling!

This video clip does not do justice to the vocal gifts of Joy, Cleo and Emily, but it certainly does justice to a sunny make-the-best-of-it approach to what was a dismal bad weather day for one of the most "high value" tourist sites we'd see in Beijing. Nothing like singing in the rain to chase away the blues. What should have been captured was our subsequent 5-part harmony "You are my sunshine" that drew stares and applause from a crowd of astonished Chinese and foreign tourists.

Man, I wish I'd been a bigger spender and spent more than 50 cents (literally) on those ponchos for Emily and Cleo. I hope they kept at least partially dry! Me, the eternal optimist, bought the ponchos with the thought that they wouldn't actually need to use them.
Goodbye, Gene Kelly. Now I will forever have a different image of "Singing in the Rain."
