Yangshuo: why we came (part 1)

Oh, there is a lot to see and do in Yangshuo, but when you get down to it, this is why we came to Yangshuo: its unique landscape. Got this photo on an early morning run thru the city to a park that included a rough stairway up the karst hill from which I took this photo. My favorite photo first, then a snap of the hill itself, with the pagoda on top. And consider this, morning exercise slackers: there were 60+-year old women making the climb ahead of me, no more winded and doing their "tai chi" exercises at the top. In 2000, I enjoyed my early morning strolls/stretches through the parks and seeing people of all ages loosening up and getting ready for the day, in such peaceful settings. So far, so good in 2008.
